Data processing for applications and in the application procedure

The person responsible for processing collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of handling the application procedure. The processing can also be carried out electronically. This is especially the case if an applicant sends the relevant application documents to the person responsible for processing electronically, e.g. by e-mail or via a web form located on the website. If the person responsible for processing concludes an employment contract with an applicant, the data sent for the purpose of processing the employment relationship is stored in due consideration of statutory requirements. If the person responsible for processing does not conclude an employment contract with the applicant, the application documents are automatically deleted two months after the announcement of the decision to refuse the applicant unless other legitimate interests on the part of the person responsible for processing stand in the way of the deletion. An example of another legitimate interest in this sense is a burden of proof in proceedings according to the German General Equal Opportunities Act (AGG). The legal basis for the data processing of mandatory information required for the application procedure is Article 6, para. 1, letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation in conjunction with Sec. 26 para. 1 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We process any other information that you voluntarily share with us on the basis of Article 6, para. 1, letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation, as a legitimate interest exists on our part.

Application and use of Adobe Analytics

We also use cookies from Adobe Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited ("Adobe"). The analyses help us to improve our services by allowing us to analyse which of our products and services are received more or less favourably. The legal basis is Article 6, para. 1, letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Application and use of Google Analytics

In order to design our website to meet the needs of users, we generate pseudonymous user profiles with the aid of Google Analytics on the basis of Article 6, para. 1, letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. Google Analytics is a product of Google Inc. (referred to in the following as "Google"). Google Analytics uses "Cookies", i.e. text files which are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the scope of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data. These purposes pursued by us also represent legitimate interests according to the meaning of Article 6, para. 1, letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Application and use of Google AdWords

We have integrated Google AdWords into our website. Google AdWords is an Internet advertising service that allows advertisers to place advertisements both in Google search engine results and in the Google advertising network. Google AdWords allows advertisers to specify previously defined keywords that are then only used to show an advertisement in the Google search engine results if the user generates a keyword-relevant search result with the search engine. In the Google advertising network, the advertisements are distributed among topically relevant websites using an automatic algorithm and in consideration of the previously specified keywords. If you access this website from the EU/the European Economic Area, your IP address is truncated by Google before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to and first truncated by a Google server in the USA. Google has obtained certification according to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Google will use this information on behalf of AKI to compile reports about website activities and to provide other services associated with the use of the website and the Internet.

The purpose of Google AdWords is to advertise our website by inserting advertising relevant to user interests on the websites of third-party companies and in the search engine results of the Google search engine and to insert third-party advertising on our website. Furthermore, the use of Google AdWords allows us to perform reach measurement based on pseudonymous user profiles. The previously described purposes represent legitimate interests and the data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6, para. 1, letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Application and use of YouTube

The provider YouTube of YouTube LLC ("YouTube") is employed for the integration of videos. YouTube is represented by Google Inc. We use embedded YouTube videos in extended data protection mode. This means: YouTube does not store any cookies for a user who views a website with an embedded YouTube video player but does not click on the video to start playing the video. If the user clicks on the YouTube video player, YouTube may in certain circumstances store cookies on the computer of the user, but no personal cookie information is stored for playing embedded videos. You can find additional information about data processing as well as information about data protection by YouTube (Google) at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de

Duration of storage of personal data

We retain personal data as long as required for the designated business purpose or the purposes for which it was collected. If you revoke your consents, delete your user accounts or assert your right to object to data processing, we will promptly delete the relevant collected data. If statutory retention obligations exist, we store personal data until the expiry of the required retention periods.
